Project: In honor of Mental Health Month, I partnered with Google to engage their employees in a meaningful conversation about mental well-being. Speaking on a live YouTube stream, I reached over 500 Google employees, shedding light on a topic often overlooked in high-paced environments: stress.
Challenge: With tech industry pressures running high, the challenge was to create an engaging, impactful presentation that connected with a diverse workforce. Addressing stress within a global company like Google meant tackling both universal and unique forms of stress that employees face daily, from work-life balance to the unique demands of remote work.
Approach: I structured the presentation around the "5 Forms of Stress" model—highlighting how electromagnetic, physical, mental, nutritional, and chemical stress can impact mental health. Through an interactive format, I shared practical strategies to recognize, manage, and reduce each form of stress, weaving in real-world examples and insights that encouraged attendees to reflect on their own experiences.
Impact: The response was overwhelmingly positive, with employees reporting a newfound understanding of stress in its various forms and an increased awareness of personal and professional well-being. Many expressed appreciation for the practical tools offered and felt empowered to bring mindfulness into their daily routines, creating a lasting impact on both individual wellness and overall workplace culture.
