The Problem Many pet owners face challenges in finding compatible playmates for their dogs, which can lead to under-socialized pets and missed opportunities for meaningful interactions. Existing pet apps tend to focus on either pet care or human social networking—but rarely both. There was a clear gap in the market for a digital solution that facilitates connections between dogs and their owners, centered around playdates, local meetups, and shared interests.
The Goal Design a mobile experience that allows dog owners to create profiles for their pets, discover compatible playmates nearby, and build connections with other owners. The app needed to be intuitive, community-focused, and fun—bridging the gap between pet socialization and human networking, while promoting safe, friendly interactions.
The Solution The result is an engaging, user-friendly mobile app that combines Tinder-like swiping mechanics for dog profiles with features inspired by social and event apps. Owners can match based on dog breed, energy level, temperament, location, and shared interests. Key features include:
- Dog profiles with personality traits and preferences
- Owner-to-owner messaging
- Local park meetups & playdate scheduling
- Activity tracking for regular users
- Verified profiles for added safety
The app fosters real-world connections while making dog parenting more interactive and social.
